ESD Standards

For establishing an ESD control program plan and to implement ESD protective measures in an Electrostatic Discharge Protected Area (EPA) it is important to follow international ESD standards.

The IEC 61340-5-1 Ed. 2.0 (2016-05) applies to activities that manufactures, process, assemble, install, package, label, service, test, inspect, transport or otherwise handle ESDS (Electro Static Discharge Sensitive Devices) susceptible to damage by electrostatic discharges greater or equal to 100 V according to the Human Body Model (HBM), 200V CDM and 35V for isolated conductors.
